The Electrical Launch Support Equipment Bus Protection Unit (ELSE BPU) is a very simple device designed to protect against over-voltage and over-current conditions. The ELSE BPU connects between the Power Supply and the umbilical cables. The ELSE BPU has provisions for diode ORing redundant umbilical power. The ELSE BPU has local control and remote capabilities. The remote interface can be use where unmanned launch facilities are required.
